Opposition critical of visa process for Palestinians

The Opposition is criticising the decision to approve 2,000 visas to Palestinian residents fleeing the war in Gaza, opening up a new front in the political battle over border protection.

In Senate estimates last night, the government hit back, saying all those issued visas have been vetted by Australian security agencies and accusing the Opposition of attempting of whipping up fear.
